They actually rarely ever go through the trouble of re-releasing and remaking. It's actually outstanding how little Sega has really brought to Steam in the grand scheme of the Sonic series.

The spin offs Sonic Riders and Zero Gravity are actually half done similar to Heroes since Sonic Heroes and Sonic Riders received PC ports and would basically take minimal effort to bring to Steam.

Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Colors PC ports are absolutely possible if Sega has the source code for those games lying around. A Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 port has been requested for ages but as many have said it's up in the air as to whether Sega wants to draw any more attention to what is consistently claimed to be Sonic's ultimate low point (not to say I wouldn't personally enjoy playing it on PC).

That aside though, I think an Advance trilogy is brilliant and proper PC ports of the Genesis remasters from the phone plus Sonic 3 and Knuckles would be hard to mess up. It was intended to answer the unanswered questions from SA2 and Heroes. Shadow the Hedgehog is constantly written off as a spin off which is demonstrably untrue. Maybe also PC ports of the Rush games too though they may be harder considering the use of the touch screen for special stages and sailing. Other ideas include Sonic R Saturn with the PC exclusive features like time of day and weather added, Sonic 3D: Flickes Island Saturn, and a Sonic Advance Collection pack which would include ports of Pocket Adventure, the Advance Trilogy, Pinball Party and Battle.
